The conference is intended to bring together specialists in bilingualism from various areas, including phonetics, phonology, morphology, syntax, psycholinguistics, sociolinguistics, computational linguistics, corpus linguistics, bilingual and multilingual education, neuroscience (and others).

Travel:

Arriving by air - The closest airports are Manchester Airport and Liverpool John Lennon Airport, from which you can you can travel to Bangor by train (approx. 3½ hours or 2½ hours respectively).

There are also daily flights between Cardiff and Anglesey - see http://www.visitanglesey.co.uk/en-GB/by_air-188.aspx for more information (approx. 1 hour).

Arriving by train - Bangor Railway Station is only a 15 minute walk from the University, or a few minutes by taxi (approx. £3-£5). If you are traveling from London trains leave from Euston Station and traveling time is approx. 3½ hours. See http://www.nationalrail.co.uk.

Arriving by car - Please use this interactive map to calculate your route and approximate traveling time - http://g.co/maps/wt4dr (Google Maps). Simply click the ‘Get directions’ button and input your starting location/postcode. If you have a satellite navigation system in your car then please input the postcode destination as LL57 2DG.

Arriving by sea - There are frequent ferries from Ireland to the nearby port at Holyhead. Please see these websites for details http://www.irishferries.com & http://www.stenaline.com. It then takes 30 minutes to reach Bangor from Holyhead by train.

Parking: Car parking permits for the University car parks will be available from the Help Desk in the Main Arts' building during the conference. There will be a conference volunteer on duty in the Main Arts car park on Friday 30 March between 8.45am and 10:00am.

Accommodation:

The Management Centre (http://g.co/maps/9mvdz) and the Ffriddoedd site (http://g.co/maps/d4srj) are the two main accomodation sites for delegates. However there are various other hotels and bed & breakfast accommodation surrounding Bangor.
