Launch at the Eisteddfod: The Bilingualism Centre was launched in a special presentation on the 8th August at the University of Bangor Stall within the National Eisteddfod of Wales, Flintshire and District.
Dyslexia – A Matter of Words: 9 June 2007: The Centre co-sponsored a one-day conference with the Dyslexia Unit of the University of Wales, Bangor. Professor Usha Goswami from the University of Cambridge gave this year's T.R.Miles lecture on Rhyme, Rhythm, Reading and Dyslexia: A Cross Language Analysis. Colin Baker chaired a workshop entitled Teaching and Learning in Two Languages.
The 6th International Symposium on Bilingualism at the University of Hamburg: We sponsored a reception at the Conference Dinner in which Margaret Deuchar gave a short presentation on the establishment of the new Centre and welcomed collaboration with bilingualism researchers from around the world.
